Objectif Général
The project aims to play an important role in boosting social and economic protection of rural women, in promoting equality for the control and the access of economic resources and, lastly, in encouraging the exchange and diffusion of good practice.
The project is set up where it had been previously conceived, that are Moroccan and Tunisian territories.
As stated by United Nations, that named 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives, the project aim is to operate with social economy, recognized as an effective approach in fighting against poverty.
So, the intervention is focused on integrating gender mainstreaming principles and procedures with a wider vision of realization and consequences of policies, programs and law in areas of interest.
ACTIVITIES
- Build a functional institutional frame, by strenghtening public services and social economy networks, for rural women’s social and economic development.
- Professionalize women associations and cooperatives, by introducing them in agricultural and food products trade, with the final result of playing an active role in the social and solidary economy.
- Promote women emporwement and gender equality, with rights and equality dedicated trainings and consultancy, as well as with literacy activities. The final aim of all these planned actions is raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, women civil and political rights and, besides, enhancing associations strategies.
- Encourage the development and exchange of good practice on both national and international level, through comparison and awareness; specifically, these key concepts will be put into action thanks to the organization of seminars, campaigns and study visits to Morocco.
